School Nurse

Hi! My name is Julia McDaniel, and I am ecstatic to serve as the school nurse here at Westchester Elementary. With a background as an LPN and a former U.S. Army Combat Medic, I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise and disciplined care to our students. While my professional focus has been in women’s health, I have always had a deep love for children and a passion for student wellness. As a mother of three, I prioritize compassion, patience, and trust in every interaction to ensure every child feels seen and supported. I am dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming environment where our students can truly thrive. I look forward to partnering with your families to provide quality care and support the overall well-being of our school community.

School Health Clinic Visits

Students with symptoms of illness will be escorted to the school clinic for evaluation.  All symptomatic students will be sent home from school.  We kindly request that you have your child picked up within one hour of being called.  Please review our list of what symptoms your child will be sent home for, and remember, please do not medicate your child with a fever prior to sending them to school.  Your child should be fever free for 24 hours, without the use of medications, before sending them to school.
